PayPal launches Paypal Payments platform

PayPal has launched a new platform which provides small businesses with various options when it comes to how they accept payments from their customers, dubbed Paypal Payments.

The newly introduced platform enables small and medium sized businesses to offer online, offline and multichannel payment options to their customers.

PayPal Payments features three tiers of capability which provide a suite of payment services for online, offline and multi-channel businesses which include:
• Online payments –PCI compliant checkout options which allow businesses to accept credit cards and PayPal online;
• In-person, offline payments – ability to accept credit cards, PayPal and checks in person using smartphone;
• Mobile payments, invoicing and debit card.

In recent news, PayPal was rumoured to extend its services across Russia by entering an alliance with Russian Post, the countrys postal operator, using prepaid cards for the systems electronic accounts.
