HNB rolls out HNB One NFC-enabled combo card

Sri Lanka-based financial services provider Hatton National Bank (HNB) has launched HNB One, a near field communication (NFC) enabled multi-function prepaid and visa international debit card in Sri Lanka.

The card can be used for toll payments in transport industry and at fast food outlets and fuel stations.

HNB One is a card that is set to serve as an ATM card, debit or shopping card.

HNB One is a combo card to be launched in the market where customers can access their savings and current accounts at HNB plus their prepaid account for checkout payments. Fund transfers can also be made between normal accounts and prepaid accounts through the HNB’s ATMs and branch network.

Hatton National Bank activates since 1888 in the banking industry.

In August 2010, Hatton National Bank has completed a deal with global financial technology developer Infosys Technologies to implement the latter’s Finacle banking platform.
