Pulse, Motorola Employees Credit Union enter long-term deal

Pulse, a subsidiary of Discover Financial Services, has entered a long-term deal with financial institution Motorola Employees Credit Union (MECU), to become the latter’s network provider for PIN debit.

Under the terms of the agreement, MECU’s 39,000 members will be provided with access to point-of-sale (POS) terminals at retail locations across the US through Pulse PAY, as well as Pulse’s nationwide network of more than 380,000 ATMs.

The agreement also includes the Pulse Debit Dashboard, a web-based tool which provides MECU access to its data to analyze the performance of its debit program, and Pulse’s fraud detection service, DebitProtect, which helps MECU and other financial institutions combat debit card fraud.

MECU has been a Pulse participant since 2007. Pulse is a debit/ATM network providing payment services including ATM network services, PIN and signature debit services, credit services, stored value card programs to more than 6,300 financial institutions across the US.
