Global non-bank ATM operator Cardtronics has entered an agreement with financial institution Scotiabank.

Under the agreement, Scotiabank is adding 500 Cardtronics cash machines to the Scotiabank Mexico ATM network. The ATMs, part of Cardtronics’ existing portfolio in Mexico, are primarily located in convenience stores throughout the country.

The partnership with Cardtronics will extend Scotiabank’s ATM network in Mexico to include more than 2,000 machines across the country, accessible to accountholders free of charge.

In recent news, Cardtronics Canada, a Canadian-based wholly-owned subsidiary of Cardtronics, has acquired Can-Do-Cash, an ATM services company.
