Visa, i2c partner to bring prepaid solutions to global markets

Visa has teamed up with prepaid processor i2c, to bring prepaid solutions in Asia-Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (APCEMEA).

Under the agreement, Visa and i2c will support the demand for prepaid cards in the region with a focus on product offerings, such as government disbursement and virtual prepaid. The global prepaid market is forecasted to rise by 44 % between 2013 and 2018.

i2cs prepaid processing platform will allow Visa prepaid issuers and partners to develop and manage the full suite of prepaid products throughout the region. i2c, a prepaid processor that supports programs in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Africa, is committed to expanding in the APCEMEA region to provide Visa issuers and partners with prepaid processing solutions.

i2c is a provider of traditional, mobile and emerging payment processing solutions to blue chip clients worldwide, and already works with some of Visa’s prepaid issuers and partners in more than 10 markets.

In recent news, African telecommunications network MTN and Visa have partnered to provide customers with a mobile payment solution which allows MTN Mobile Money users to make face-to-face and online transactions wherever Visa is accepted.
