ATF introduces TouchID biometric login for mobile devices

US-based The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has adopted an employee biometric login based on the TouchID fingerprint sensor.

US president Barack Obama has also revealed that Apple Pay will be used by the US Federal Government for payment cards and social security and veteran’s payments.

Apple Pay will also become available for other transactions with the federal government, such as at national parks, starting in September 2015.
