Bangladesh and Australia ink anti-money laundering MoU

Bangladesh and Australia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to help combat money laundering and terror financing.

Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) and the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (AUSTRAC) have signed the MoU on the sidelines of the meeting of the Asia Pacific Group (APG) on money laundering which will end in Auckland, New Zealand on July 17.

AUSTRAC is the Australias anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism regulator, and specialist financial intelligence unit, according to a news agency.
