Cambridge University to start cyber-crime research centre

Academics at Cambridge University have revealed plans to launch a new research centre focused on understanding how criminality is conducted online.

The Cambridge Cloud Cybercrime Centre, a multi-disciplinary initiative combining expertise from the University of Cambridges Computer Laboratory, Institute of Criminology and Faculty of Law departments, will become operational on 1 October 2015, with an objective of creating a centre for academic research into cyber-crime.

The centre has stressed that this data will be made available to other academics and will be as comprehensive as possible for future research purposes.
