Tuesday 24 February 2015 10:58 CET | News

Taiwan-based microSD maker Go-Trust has announced a partnership with Japanese biometrics company DDS.

The partnership will focus on FIDO-ready hardware-based security for Android smartphones using a combination of microSD based security modules and biometric identification.

The GO-Trust FIDO microSD can store private keys and other important credentials in a Trusted Execution Environment that is portable between mobile devices just by the transfer of the microSD.

Both new Android smart phones with fingerprint readers and older smart phones without biometrics are included in the FIDO partnership.
