MasterCard has launched the Zero Liability program, which will enable added protection from unauthorized transactions for consumer and small business cardholders.

The global Zero Liability promise was developed in consultation with issuers and regulators, extending protections beyond what may be required today. The changes expand the minimum standard for consumer protection against unauthorized transactions and are designed to work together with, and subject to applicable local laws.

MasterCard is a technology company in the global payments industry that operates a global payments processing network, connecting consumers, financial institutions, merchants, governments and businesses in more than 210 countries and territories.
