Under the terms of the deal, ReD is providing its ReD Shield online fraud prevention service to protect merchant customers of PT Midtrans. The ReD Shield service has been integrated into the PT Midtrans payment platform by Scudetto, a primary ReD partner in Asian markets.
The integration of the ReD Shield service into the PT Midtrans payment environment is initially providing online fraud prevention for merchants operating in consumer electronics, online gaming, fashion and travel sectors. ReD Shield incorporates risk models and rule sets that are specifically tailored to individual sectors, since fraud patterns and behaviours vary by sector. Additional models will be deployed as new merchants from other sectors sign up with PT Midtrans.
