Trusteer introduces risk assessment content sharing platform

Thursday 14 July 2011 13:19 CET | News

Israel-based web access services provider Trusteer has introduced security threat and risk assessment content sharing platform, dubbed Trusteer Situation Room (TSR) to provide information on fraudsters, their activities, the institutions they target, their methods for bypassing various security controls and techniques for blocking individual attacks.

Trusteer Situation Room gathers information on malware activity from a worldwide network that spans endpoint devices and of malicious servers. TSR is set to identify new threats targeting their systems and customers and offers a technical analysis of attacks and their implications as well as recommendations for how to mitigate them. Additionally, TSR generates on-going reports describing the change in threats over time and monitors the effectiveness of various security controls against them. The platform includes eCrime section news, a forum for discussion and data sharing with peers. The TSR also includes an analysis section with updated list of fraudster identities and suspected fraudster IP addresses.

In March 2011, Trusteer has rolled out the Pinpoint service to detect the presence of malware. Pinpoint is a web login and transaction monitoring service which enables enterprises and financial institutions to detect threats on the user’s machine before allowing them to sign-in or execute transactions.
