Trusteer rolls out Pinpoint transaction monitoring service

Thursday 17 March 2011 11:22 CET | News

Web access services provider Trusteer has rolled out new web login and transaction monitoring service, dubbed Pinpoint, to detect the presence of malware.

Pinpoint is set to enable enterprises and financial institutions to detect threats on the user’s machine before allowing them to sign-in or execute transactions. The service is also aimed at other online service providers, offering them protection against fraud and information theft. Moreover, organizations are able to protect infected computers by downloading the Trusteer Rapport which will protect the account and remove the malware. Pinpoint does not require the installation of software on the endpoint device.

Trusteer integrates Pinpoint into existing applications via a cloud service to perform the entire assessment of machines. The beta version of Pinpoint has already been deployed by several financial institutions in the US and Europe either for additional layers of detection and protection that can operate when Rapport is not installed on the endpoint device or for malware risk within their customer base.
