Almost half of the US consumers manifest concern regarding the level of sensitive data protection provided by their banks, a recent survey has unveiled.

According to the research commissioned by Detica NetReveal and carried out by Mori Ipsos, 48 percent of respondents fear that their bank accounts could be exposed to fraud attacks, whereas 61 percent of interviewees have claimed that banks should take greater responsibility for protecting their consumer accounts against personal financial data leakage.

The same study has shown that 46 percent of respondents thought their banks had provided them with sufficient information and advice to keep their accounts safe from fraud. In addition, only 37 percent of participants have expressed complete satisfaction towards the way their banks have handled fraud cases.
