City of Columbus selects Vinimaya for vMarketPlace solution

Tuesday 8 October 2013 10:57 CET | News

Vinimaya, a US-based provider of procurement marketplace solutions and catalog management services, has signed a three-year agreement with the City of Columbus to implement its vMarketPlace solution.

Under the terms of the agreement, the City’s Purchasing Office will implement Vinimaya’s functionality into the Microsoft Dynamics AX financial management system currently in deployment. The City will be aggregating supplier catalog content from City contracts, externally managing the content in a single online marketplace and offering access to select contracts for surrounding local governments.

Vinimaya’s search capabilities provide access to all sourced items under contract from multiple sources from online suppliers, local catalogs and inventory items. The results are aggregated and delivered to the shopper, including those with mobile devices. Through this system, the City also is enabled to share catalog content and pricing with other public sector entities.

Vinimaya vMarketPlace supports ERP or e-procurement platforms.

Vinimaya is a privately held software solutions company that provides e-procurement Catalog and B2B shopping offerings for both buyers and suppliers based on the Vinimaya vMarketPlace cloud-based solution. Vinimaya’s marketplace is integrated with systems from Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, SAP, Ariba, Microsoft, Coupa and Ivalua, and is used by organisations such as the State of Tennessee, 3M, Alcoa, Siemens, Agilent Technologies, Corning and Cricket Communications.
