Engro, Ariba partner for Ariba Sourcing

Pakistan-based holding company Engro has signed a definitive agreement with US collaborative business commerce and e-invoicing services provider Ariba, a SAP Company.

Under the terms of a newly signed agreement with Ariba’s partner OnProcess Technologies, Engro is set to implement Ariba Sourcing, a cloud-based sourcing application, to drive standard processes for procurement.

Ariba operates the Ariba Network, which provides cloud-based applications, a community of partners through which companies can discover, qualify, connect and collaborate with trading partners as well as other services that are only available to members of the community, such as analytics, financing and ratings.

Engro Corporation Limited, formerly Engro Chemical Pakistan, is a Pakistan-based holding company. The principal activity of the company is to manage investments in subsidiary companies and joint venture, engaged in fertilizers, foods, energy, petrochemicals, trading and chemical storage and handling businesses.

In recent news, provider of labels, printers and mobile computers LLT Bar Code & Label has entered an agreement with Ariba to sign on to Ariba Discovery, a service for matching business buyers and sellers globally. The two-year deal was estimated at USD 400.000.
