Israel: Haifa Port launches e-invoicing service

Monday 14 May 2012 13:46 CET | News

Israel-based international seaport Haifa Port has launched an e-invoicing service to deliver its invoices electronically to customers.

The new service has been deployed in the wake of a successful pilot program. It enables Haifa Port to send invoices produced by the Port in digital format to customers who sign up for it. The electronic invoices are delivered as PDF files via email. Customers can view the invoices on the Computerized Trading Processes in the Maritime Community site.

Invoices sent to the client via email are recognized by the Israeli tax authorities and meet the requirements of the law regarding electronic signatures and stamps.
