The city of Ottawa selects Merx for e-procurement pilot project

The city of Ottawa has selected MERX Networks, an electronic tendering service, to fulfill a two-year e-procurement pilot project.

The project aims to automate bid solicitations for request for quotations worth up to USD 100,000. The city said it wants a cloud-based electronic tendering system that manages requests for tenders, requests for proposals and requests for standing offers, price quotes, proposal evaluations, workflow, approvals, electronic bonding, standing offer management, vendor rotation, vendor performance management and procure-to-pay.
