TNT to expand e-invoicing offering to India, Southeast Asia

Friday 21 August 2009 09:11 CET | News

Netherlands-based network infrastructure provider for mail and express delivery TNT has launched an e-invoicing service with digital signatures attached for its customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Hong Kong and India.

The e-invoicing service is web-based and provided free of charge to TNT’s business customers, who can access the company’s website and download their electronic invoices in several formats, including PDF and CSV. The invoicing data can subsequently be consolidated into companies’ accounting systems, thus turning the management of shipping transactions into a more effective, environmentally sustainable process.

TNT’s electronic invoicing service is already available in 42 countries worldwide, with 14 more countries to be implemented by the end of 2009. TNT estimates that it could eventually eliminate up to one million paper invoices per month.
