Provider of capture-driven process automation services Kofax has been selected by a US government agency for its Kofax Capture and Kofax Transformation Modules to capture and extract data from document pages.

The sale includes USD 4.1 million of software licenses and USD 3.5 million for four years of prepaid maintenance services, totaling USD 7.6 million.

The agency is using Kofax Capture and Kofax Transformation Modules to capture and extract data from citizen benefit enrollment applications and related documents and export the resulting content into its systems of record.

Kofax Capture provides scan-to-archive capabilities by scanning documents and forms to create digital images, extracting index data for retrieval purposes and delivering the images and associated data to a variety of repositories and applications.

Kofax Transformation Modules adds document classification, page separation, data extraction and validation capabilities to Kofax Capture to drive capture-to-process applications.

In recent news, Kofax has completed the acquisition of Kapow Technologies, a data integration software provider.
