Chinas cross-border ecommerce set to hit USD 85.76 bln in 2016

Cross-border ecommerce in China is expected to reach USD 85.76 billion in 2016, up from USD 57.13 billion in 2015.

About 40% of China’s online consumers buy foreign goods, eMarketer, a digital marketing researcher, alizila.com reports.

Another reasearcher, Teh, estimates that each of China’s digital shoppers in 2016 will spend an average of USD 473.26 on foreign goods, up from USD 446.33 in 2015. By 2020, half of China’s digital shoppers – or more than a quarter of the country’s population – will be buying foreign products online, with total sales of USD 157.7 billion.
