Thursday 27 November 2014 13:32 CET | News

Amazon is reportedly in an initial-stage discussion to acquire the Indian fashion online retailer Jabong.com for about USD 1.2 billion, firstport.com reports.

Amazon is also supposed to keep Jabong as a separate property in the aftermath of the acquisition, which would be on the lines of Amazons acquisition of Zappos in the US, the source cites.

Jabong raised USD 100 from existing investors in its last round of funding in December 2013. In recent news, Amazon has launched subway shopping centers in New York.
