Indonesia predicted to hit USD 130 bln in ecommerce transactions by 2020

Indonesia`s Information Minister, Rudiantara, has claimed that the government is targeting USD 130 billion worth of ecommerce transactions by 2020, Reuters reports.

Rudiantara justified the forecast based on the governments decision to open up investment in the sector to foreign investors.

In 2014, the minister said estimated transactions in ecommerce were USD 12 billion, and foreacast it would rise to USD 25 billion in 2016, the source cites.
