South Korea: e-commerce sales up by 12.5% in Q3 2012

E-commerce sales in South Korea have jumped 12.5 percent in Q3 2012, reaching USD 254.87 billion, according to a government report.

The source mentions that business-to-business (B2B) sales, which account for more than 90 percent of total sales, have increased 13.8 percent y-o-y, while business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions have grown 4.8 percent. Data also indicates that consumer-to-consumer (C2C) transactions have risen 21.8 percent during the period under review, but business-to- government (B2G) sales have declined 11.4 percent.
