Walmart sets up private cloud for Big Data analytics

Walmart is expected to build its own private cloud, to process 2.5 petabytes of data every hour.

The company has created Data Café, an analytics hub located within its Bentonville, Arkansas headquarters, forbes.com reports.

Here, over 200 streams of internal and external data, including 40 petabytes of recent transactional data, can be modelled, manipulated and visualised.
