Axis Bank, UAE Exchange and Financial Services team up for mobile money transfers in India

India-based financial services provider Axis Bank has entered an agreement with remittance and currency exchange company UAE Exchange and Financial Services to enable consumers to transfer money across India using their mobile devices, online media outlet timesofindia.indiatimes.com reports.

According to the source, consumers are set to be able to send money through agent locations of UAE Exchange and Financial Services dubbed Xpress Money to registered mobile numbers in the India. In order to withdraw the money, recipients need to register at Axis Bank branches and use the code sent to their mobile phones.

In recent news, Indian telecommunication services company Bharti Airtel has entered a partnership with Axis Bank to provide customers with mobile banking services through the Airtel Money platform.
