BBVA Compass to develop new mobile banking capability for micro-businesses

Global financial services provider BBVA Compass has made available its Business Mobility Bundle, designed to help micro-businesses manage their finances on the go.

Micro-businesses include startups and single office/home office (SOHO) businesses such as landscapers, photographers and service consultants. They generally have basic banking needs and generate low monthly transaction volumes.

The mobile banking product suite includes an e-Business Checking account, online and mobile banking, and a merchant Mobility Pack with a secured card reader for processing debit and credit card payments. Merchant services accounts are subject to approval, including credit and risk approval and the acceptance of the terms and conditions related to such service.

BBVA Compass currently provides mobile banking apps for iPhone and iPad mobile digital devices, BlackBerry devices and the Android mobile digital platform.

In recent news, BBVA Compass has been added by US-based mobile imaging services provider Mitek Systems to the list of financial institutions that have deployed Mobile Photo Bill Pay which includes US Bank, First Financial Bank and City Bank of Texas.
