Under the terms of the partnership, TransferTo is set to enable BlueKite’s customers to send prepaid airtime minutes to their friends and family at the same time they pay their utility bills.
With this service portfolio, BlueKite’s customers are set to be able to send airtime minutes in approximately 70 countries worldwide and pay their bills in a number of countries in Latin America.
BlueKite is set to provide the TransferTo service through clerk assisted transactions and to consumers via its website and its soon to be launched mobile application. BlueKite’s proprietary bill payment platform enhances cross-border bill payments.
BlueKite provides a web-based platform that allows consumers to make cross-border bill payments around the world. Some of the bill payment services available through BlueKite include electricity, gas, water, internet, cable, fixed and mobile phone and financial services.
TransferTo is a global airtime remittance hub that interconnects mobile operators’ prepaid systems to deliver end-to-end cross-border services. TransferTo enables the transfer of small amounts of value in the form of prepaid mobile credits. TransferTo has been designed for migrants and travellers, who can remotely recharge the prepaid phones of their family and friends back home from their mobile phones, the internet or at a retail location.
In recent news, BlueKite has entered an agreement with US-based financial services provider Ficohsa Express, a subsidiary of Grupo Ficohsa, a financial institution and insurer in Central America.
