First Data to develop Clover POS service for small businesses

First Data, a provider of electronic commerce and payment processing, and provider of mobile payment services Clover Network have entered a partnership to develop Clover Station, a point-of-sale (POS) and business management service for merchants.

Some of the Clover Station features include offline mode, open Clover App MarketPlace that allows integration of POS and business services, merchant analytics with tools to access and use customer data, payment card data stored in the cloud with the TransArmor tokenization service and others.

Clover Station is set to be made available to Bank of America Merchant Services small business customers by the end of 2013.

In recent news, First Data Corporation has partnered with Microsoft’s Bing Offers Card-Linked to integrate First Data’s OfferWiseSM solution to enable merchants to offer redemption at POS.
