Google assists Boku to deliver carrier billing in Lithuania

Google has teamed up with Boku to bring carrier billing as a payment option for all Google Play Store purchases in Lithuania. 

The partnership has also involved assistance from Bite, a Latvian cell phone carrier. Eligible purchases on Bite include: apps, in app purchases, games, music, movies and books. One of the reasons that supported Google teaming up with Boku is Lithuanias low card penetration and thus carrier billing becomes an important payment option in Google Play.

In recent news Boku has expanded its service bringing direct carrier billing to Windows Store customers in the UK and Italy.
