According to the same source, Groupon is set to provide merchants with free of charge iPod Touch devices and credit card readers in a bid to convince them to sign up for its new service.
Groupon has made about 17 acquisitions in the last 12 months, the most recent one being the acquisition of FeeFighters, a US-based start-up which provides online payment services and comparison shopping for credit card processors, in March 2012.
