Heartland Payment Systems teams up with Tabbedout

Heartland Payment Systems, a US payment processor, has teamed up with Tabbedout, a mobile payment application that allows consumers to open, view and pay tabs with their phones, to provide a mobile payment solution designed for restaurant and bar operators.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Tabbedout platform will include features such as alternative payment acceptance, multi-use tokenisation for payment security, SKU-level gift, rewards and promotions, reservations and waitlist management, gateway and e-commerce solutions. Additionally, both companies will integrate additional value-added services such as dining reviews and venue discovery.

The solution combines customer data, profile information, purchase history and feedback which are set to enable operators and brands to offer targeted rewards and incentives to influence purchasing decisions, increase loyalty and attract new customers.

In recent news, Leaf, a technology services provider, has closed USD 20 million in its first round of institutional funding from Heartland Payment Systems.
