Indonesian bank selects Sybase for mobile banking services

Indonesia-based financial institution CIMB Niaga has selected Sybase 365, a subsidiary of mobile messaging and mobile commerce services company Sybase, for its mBanking 365 service.

The mBanking 365 service allows CIMB Niaga customers to transfer funds, access loan statements and check account information. In addition to banking services, customers can access their online bill payment service via their mobile phones to pay utilities and other bills from their online bank accounts.

CIMB Niaga was established as Bank Niaga in 1955.The bank provides both conventional and Islamic banking products and services through a delivery channel network of offices across Indonesia.

In recent news, Sybase 365 has made available the Sybase mobile commerce platform to provide mobile banking, mobile payments and mobile money services for both developed and emerging markets.
