French-based provider of payment services Ingenico has inked a partnership agreement with Ingogo, an Australian taxi services platform, to provide taxi drivers with an integrated mobility payment service.

The wireless Ingenico device is set to allow taxi drivers in Australia using Ingogo App to turn their Android smartphones into a PIN@POS EMV and contactless payment platform, taking payments from a number of credit and debit cards, as well as processing mobile wallets.

In recent news, Ingenico has entered an agreement with Elavon, a global payments provider and a subsidiary of US Bancorp, to deploy the former’s iWL220 wireless device for the Mexican market.
