The M007 solution is a device which can be connected via its retail cradle to deliver a traditional retail PIN Entry Device (PED) set up which, when powered by USB, removes the need for power supplies or wires at the till point. The device supports Miura’s 7816 based API’s allowing integration into existing payment software.
Additionally, the solution enables the delivery of mobile solutions via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. With the M007 merchants can take payments at conventional service points or if required, it can be used at the point of display.
In February 2013, French provider of information systems and communications security Thales entered an agreement with Miura Systems to launch an integrated mobile payment service that enables merchants to adopt mobile point of sale (mPOS) systems that support PIN based transactions, including the use of EMV chip cards.
