Samsung Pay enters beta testing in South Korea

Samsung has launched a live beta test of its new payments service on a limited scale in South Korea, Samsung Pay will be put through this beta test for 36 days as the company gears up to launch the service in the near future.

Korean credit card company Samsung Card is recruiting beta testers for the service. The testers will be able to experience the service at many major Samsung Card member stores from July 15 to August 20, 2015.

Eight Korean card companies have been “thoroughly testing” Samsung Pay, according to Android Authority, to ensure it is ready for public launch in Korea and the US in September 2015.
