Seamless partners Apoteksgruppen to launch SEQR m-payment solution

Wednesday 18 December 2013 11:50 CET | News

Swedish pharmacy chain Apoteksgruppen has signed an agreement with mobile commerce software company Seamless to launch the mobile wallet SEQR.

In addition to paying in stores, SEQR users are set to be able to connect Apoteksgruppen’s loyalty program directly to the app.

Users with a smartphone can download the SEQR app from Google Play or App Store. Users can pay at Apoteksgruppen’s stores in Örebro and in the retailers and restaurants throughout Sweden, already connected to SEQR. Users can transfer money between accounts, save receipts digitally, donate to charity and redeem offers in the app itself. At the time of purchase the customer scans a QR-code at checkout and confirms the payment with their PIN.

Apoteksgruppen has 163 pharmacies in Sweden from Gällivare in the north to Borrby in the south.

In recent news, Seamless has signed an agreement with a Russian regional bank, Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development (UBRD), to launch the mobile payment service SEQR in the Russian market.
