Spanish department store chain opts for contactless payments

El Corte Inglés, a European department store chain, has installed 5,200 contactless POS terminals in its Spanish stores, representing 25 % of its total POS terminal base.

With this implementation, customers will be able to pay with contactless cards or NFC-enabled mobile phones at the contactless terminals.

El Corte Inglés has been granted Visa Europe certification for its contactless technology deployment.
