Sprint teams up with Canvas

US provider of wireless and wireline communication services Sprint has entered an agreement with Canvas, a cloud-based software service.

Under the terms of the agreement, Canvas’ mobile business application platform is now available to Sprint business customers. Canvas is a cloud-based software service that allows businesses to replace paper forms with efficient mobile forms and apps that can be used on smartphones and tablets, as well as computers. Canvas works on smartphones and tablets available from Sprint including the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.

Canvas unlocks the productivity of smartphones and tablets with GPS functionality, image capture, bar code scanning, electronic signatures and access to business data such as parts catalogs and customer records. Canvas enables businesses transition from their existing paper-based processes to digital ones.

Sprint Nextel is a holding company that operates wireline and wireless networks that serve customers in the US, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Sprint Nextel, through its subsidiaries, provides services under the Sprint, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Assurance Wireless brands.

In recent news, Sprint has rolled out Pinsight Touch, an open platform for storing and accessing credentials on a mobile device.
