With the new feature, ATM SIM customers can buy movie tickets for 14 SF Cinema and SF Cinema City movie theatres across Thailand.
In order to book the tickets, customers need to call the SF Cinema’s call centre. After receiving their booking codes, they can use the ATM SIM payments menu to pay for the tickets via their mobile phones. Subsequently, they receive an SMS which confirms their seat numbers, movie titles and show times.
ATM SIM is jointly developed by Kasikorn Bank and dtac to enable transactions via mobile phones. Launched in March 2008, ATM SIM enables customers to view their account balances, carry out money transfers, receive payment alerts and make payments for public utilities, credit card bills, products and services. The number of ATM SIM subscribers has exceeded 1 million.
