Turkish mobile operator Turkcell and financial services provider Bank Asya have launched a SIM-based, NFC technology road toll payment application on Turkcell’s T11 smartphones.

The app allows subscribers to request a Bank Asya KGS application and upload cash through the Cep-T Cüzdan mobile wallet app on their mobile phones without the need to visit a bank or payment point.

Turkcell Cep-T Cüzdan, Turkcells mobile wallet service based on NFC technology, provides consumers with payment services as well as loyalty and ticketing, ID applications and physical access.

In support of Cep-T Cüzdan, Turkcell has recently launched the T20 Android smart phone powered by NXP Semiconductors. T20 owners can use the handset to make contactless transactions, including retail purchases, transport ticketing and access control.
