Vantiv partners Microsoft on mPOS payments

Vantiv, a provider of payment strategies and technology for financial institutions and businesses worldwide, and Microsoft have entered an agreement to deliver a range of solutions for mobile POS and cloud-connected payments.

Under the terms of the agreement, Microsoft will provide its technology and combine it with Vantivs processing services to deliver solutions for mobile payment in the field, individual direct sales transactions, retail store operations and others.

In recent news, Sprint, a US provider of wireless and wireline communication services, and Vantiv have entered a strategic relationship in order to launch a tablet-based, cloud-connected point-of-sale (POS) system.
