Zapa Technology, Mobiun join forces for the rollout of mobile loyalty application

Wednesday 17 February 2010 06:57 CET | News

Zapa Technology, an Irish developer of NFC technology, has forged an alliance with Mobiun, a supplier of mobile phone applications, to create a mobile application for Zapa Tag users, www.iia.ie reports.

The application enables consumers to view and manage their loyalty and reward points via their mobile devices. The ZAPATAG is a thin sticker which enables a mobile phone to communicate with other devices including retail POS terminals and coupon dispensers. Users can register their Tag directly on their mobile device and can collect loyalty points from Zapa-enabled retailers.

The application is available for virtually all Nokia Series 40 and Series 60 handsets, Apple iPhone, Blackberry Pearl, Curve and Bold handsets and most Sony Ericsson, LG and Samsung handsets.
