Prepaid Card Holdings to launch branded prepaid debit card Monday 27 October 2008 | 11:45 AM CET

US Prepaid Card Holdings plans to offer a branded prepaid debit card through one of its subsidiaries.

The card comes with no money fees, no monthly fee, no card issuance fee and no card activation fee. Cardholders will be able to fund their card with some form of direct deposit. The card will be aimed at America’s unbanked consumer who receives either a paycheck, benefit check, Social Security or other direct deposit instrument.

Prepaid Card Holdings offers prepaid card programs that can act as a card account and payment service for those people who do not use banks or credit cards. According to market data available, there are between 40 and 80 million people in the US who don't have a bank account or who can't qualify for a credit card because their credit scores are too low.

Prepaid Card Holdings is a US publicly traded holding company whose current holdings consist of 100 percent of Merchant Processing International DBA Bank Freedom and 100 percent of the Berman Marketing Group.
