Germany-based Stiftung Warentest teams up with Wirecard for credit card payment processing Thursday 6 November 2008 | 09:10 AM CET

Germany-based consumer association Stiftung Warentest has selected electronic payment services provider Wirecard's payment platform to manage the processing of its credit card payments.

The organisation for independent product tests Stiftung Warentest provides various test reports on its website. Consumers who are interested in them have access to downloads, books or special issues. Under the terms of the deal, when consumers purchase such information on Stiftung Warentest's website by credit card, Wirecard is to take charge of managing the related electronic payment processing.
In addition, customers who do not have any credit cards can use the Wirecard internet payment service, which allows them to make an internet purchase via a virtual MasterCard-branded card. The online payment service Wirecard allows consumers to make payments at millions of locations across the world that accept MasterCard. In addition, registered users can receive or send money orders to one another.
Nearly 900,000 Germans make use of Stiftung Warentest's service yearly.
