JP Morgan Chase&Co has released Chase Mobile, a mobile banking application for iPhone and iPod Touch users.
Via Chase’s two-way SMS-based platform, users can send an SMS to a Chase number and receive SMS replies containing information about their account balances and transaction history as well as check credit card due dates and amounts.
Also, via their web-browsers, clients can pay bills and credit cards, make transfers between Chase accounts, view account balances and transaction history, send wire transfers to or from non-Chase accounts in the US, as well as locate nearby Chase branches, ATMs and Chase contact information. In order to register for the service, clients need visit the Chase Online website and enter their mobile phone number. Chase then sends an 8-digit Activation Code via SMS, phone or e-mail which is subsequently used by the user to activate the service. Chase Mobile clients can use the same ID and password for the Chase Mobile browser used for Chase Online internet banking service. To receive service support, Chase Mobile users send an SMS with the word Help to a Chase phone number. Chase Mobile users may also opt-out of the service by sending an SMS containing the word Stop to Chase. The tool is available for download from the iTunes Apps Store.
