Zol to enter e-commerce arena Tuesday 24 March 2009 | 01:32 PM CET

Chinese website Zol.com.cn is set to officially launch its e-commerce platform on 25 March 2009.

The company is going to invest EUR 10.72 million (CNY 100 million) for its development within the next three years, the online publication The Pacific Epoch reports, citing company representatives.

As part of its development plans, the website has revealed plans to partner with electronics dealers, including electrical appliances provider Gome and Hisap and other 100 brand partners. Zol.com.cn currently supports payment via services offered by Alibaba's online payment subsidiary Alipay. Zol provides online personal technology-related content and shopping services in China. Zol.com.cn ranks 148th in Alexa's most visited websites ranking.
