Arcontia Technology, a Swedish producer of contactless smart card readers and terminals, has launched the CAS2340 dual interface smart card reader for applications using contact as well as contactless technology.

The reader is designed to be fitted on the backside of Casio IT-800 handheld terminal computers providing users with access to e-ticketing in public transport, verification of id cards and driver licenses for e-identity and e-government, mobile payment for NFC applications and ticket validation for stadiums, concerts, amusement parks and other.

Arcontia Technology was founded in 1996 as a producer of contactless smart card readers and terminals for e-ticketing and e-payment.
