Karnataka Bank to roll out student prepaid card Monday 22 February 2010 | 11:12 AM CET

Indian-based private sector lender Karnataka Bank has released student prepaid cards as well as three other products, namely mobile banking, online payment through debit card and Moneyplant international debit card, Business Standard reports.

The student card can be purchased by the parents, who are also the account holders of the bank, in amounts ranging from EUR 16 to EUR 713. It can be used wherever Visa cards are accepted to meet such financial academic needs as tuition and hostel fees. Karnataka Bank offers its customers the possibility to initiate payments from the registered mobile phone, authorized when introducing their ATM PIN.

With the Moneyplant International Visa debit card, the clients are provided with access to their bank accounts worldwide.
