MasterCard has renewed its partnership with international data communications company Transaction Network Services (TNS).
According to the initial agreement, concluded in 2007, the latter will continue to provide payment server software for MasterCard’s e-commerce platform, the MasterCard Internet Gateway Service (MiGS).
MiGS provides MasterCard’s bank acquirers and merchant clients with an outsourced payment gateway service that enables card-not-present transactions for online activities, including e-commerce and purchases via mobiles and telephones.
The TNS technology allows the processing of multi-regional card transactions and, consequently, supports a payments environment.
The MiGS service is used worldwide by more than 70 bank acquirers and over 17,000 merchants.
